A Special Message from Merry:
Yeah, we've been able to be in the shop this entire week! Snow days are always fun and I was able to make new samples for the shop and for you to enjoy too. But, it is nice to be able to be in the shop and change some things around to brighten the shop up. I never know what I am going to find, so stay tuned to my "Comment Sold" on Wednesday's. There could be some fun coming your way!
The roads are in good shape to get to the shop. But I always recommend checking the weather and road conditions before venturing out. We all know that here in the midwest this time of year can bring a little or alot of the fluffy white stuff. If weather conditions occur we will be following the Jesup, Iowa Schools closures. If they close school we will also close the quilt shop. I just want to keep everyone safe!
Now on to shop talk. I'm so excited to announce that we will be starting up a couple of sew alongs in soon (the weather is messing with our dates). We are planning a sew along for the Kim Diehl Brimming Over Quilt, which will be a total of 6 sessions. This quilt features the new Kim Diehl Line Quiet Grace. The class price is $90.00 with the purchase of the kit. This quilt includes traditional piecing and applique. Let me help you through the applique process using either turned edge applique or raw edge applique. Call me if you are interested in this class 319-827-6703.
We will also be starting a sew along for the Chillin With My Snowmies Flannel Quilt. This fun applique quilt will bring warmth and joy into your life with these fun snowmen designs. This finished quilt will measure 60" x 77" and is kitted with the Lakeside Gatherings Flannel. This will be a 3 session class. Allow us to assist you in gaining confidence with the raw edge blanket stitch applique technique during these classes. Call us at the shop to sign up for this class. 319-827-6703.
