Return the Favor is a local, non-profit organization that makes and donates quilts to terminal or seriously ill patients throughout Iowa. They are planning for their big "Sew Days" on January 28 and 29th in Traer, IA at the Memorial Building. They also have work days January 14 and 15th, and January 21st and 22nd at the NTAC Activity Center in Traer. They start around 9 AM and you can bring a potluck dish to share if you wish. The immediate need is FABRIC! They need lengths of 2 to 2 1/2 yards to use for backs. So, check your stash and drop off your donation here at the shop, or at one of the work days in Traer. |
A reminder that we have our English Paper Piecing Free Sew Day on Thursday, January 12. Stop in anytime and stay as long as you'd like from 10 AM to 7 PM. What a great time to start that new Pies and Tarts Block of the Month... | |
THE BOOKS ARE HERE! | AND...just in the door -- the English Paper Piecing Books from Sue Daley! If you pre-ordered a book...you can come pick it up. And, if you didn't pre-order, we have some extras :-) |
With all this great weather, we've been making lots of progress on the new shop. Stop in and peek your head in the door -- we can't wait to move!! See you soon! Merry, Jennifer and the team |
